advertisement ideas

a good way to get a film noticed would be to use youtube to put up a trailer. this would then get people who see the trailer into the film so that they will want to see it. another way would be to use itunes to put up games, trailers and wallpapers for people to download.

good ad words is a way as well. what will happen is the site you are paying for will show up in the most recommended on the right hand side of the bar. you only pay for every click onto the advertisement. this is usually $5 per 1000 clicks.

Netflix purchases a licens for your film which allows them to play your film as many times as you want, this licence ranges from 1 to 3 years.

The film maker will then get what the price of the license netflix uses costs.

You can put a film or trailer onto itunes for people to download and watch or even stream. this would then come at a cost for the user if it was a full length film, trailers are usually free to put up. apple would then take a % of what people pay for the film. many companies use itunes so that other people around the world are able to purchase there products, films or trailers.

iTunes splits sales 70/30. With 70% going to the filmmaker and 30% going to iTunes. For example, when iTunes sells a films for $9.99. $7 of that goes to the filmmaker. With the new aggregator model, the filmmaker will generally see 100% of that $7. With the old aggregator model, the filmmaker would probably see around $3.50 of the $7.
